I have been in education in some form since teaching swim lessons at the age of 17. My passion lies with student expression and effort; so my time in education has been split between art and kinesiology. I have my B.S. from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in Art Education and my Masters Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Before returning to art education, I was working with Kinesiology as a coach and teacher at Hamline University and the University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Prior to that I worked with K-12 graders doing art at Shawano and Prescott School Districts. For me Art is about your personal expression and statement of purpose; in class we will be exploring the concepts of art and defining what art is while working on expressing your own messages through the various materials.
